Desired Experience and Skills:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for the state
• Previous experience with early elementary or K-1 Special Education highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Ed Techs and wider staff
• Experience in self-contained classroom settings
• Empathetic, patient, and flexible mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to the needs of each student
• Oversee and manage IEPs, working closely with families and specialists
• Lead a small classroom with the support of Ed Techs, fostering a positive, inclusive environment
• Adapt teaching methods to address a variety of learning and behavioral needs
• Communicate regularly with team members and participate in meetings as required
• Provide ongoing support and feedback to instructional assistants and Ed Techs
