This full-time contract opportunity requires dedication and a passion for supporting diverse learners in a self-contained classroom environment. Situated onsite near Auburn, WA, you’ll be immersed in a dynamic educational setting where your expertise will have a meaningful impact every day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Special Education (SPED) license and ESA certificate required; ensure credentials are current and verification is ready upon application.
  • Prior professional experience in a school-based setting highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated skill in supporting high school students with varied learning needs.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management abilities.
  • Ability to work onsite, full time (37.5 hours per week) for the entirety of the school year.

Role Highlights:

  • Serve as the primary educator for a high school self-contained special education classroom.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and independence.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes.
  • Actively participate in the IEP process, monitoring progress and documenting all required compliance.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development as needed.
