Special Education Teacher in Augusta, GA

This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic school environment, fostering student growth and collaborating with a supportive educational team. The assignment runs through the end of the 2026–2027 school year, working Monday through Friday with a manageable caseload of 15–18 students.

What you’ll bring:

• Current, active GaPSC Certification or Georgia General SPED Certification (or equivalent); certified candidates only
• Demonstrated experience in school-based special education classrooms
• Strong skills in collaboration with general education staff and related service providers
• Ability to deliver specialized instruction, adapt curriculum, and support IEP implementation
• Effective classroom management and well-honed documentation practices
• Full-time availability and a commitment to onsite responsibilities
• Reliable transportation for consistent attendance

Key responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group specialized instruction within an inclusive school setting
• Support and implement students’ IEP goals, contributing to case management and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to enhance student success
• Maintain accurate and thorough records as required by school and district guidelines
• Create a welcoming and structured classroom climate that fosters learning and growth
