A full-time special education teaching position is available within a K-12 school setting in Aurora, CO. This leave contract runs through March 2, 2026, with a possibility of extension based on future needs. The schedule is 40 hours per week, with the location to be determined. The start date is immediate.

Candidates must hold a current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Professional Teacher License with an endorsement in Special Education Generalist (grades 5-21). Applications from individuals with substitute, temporary, interim, or traveler licenses will not be considered unless a valid SPED license with the correct endorsement has been applied for and proof is provided. The required license format is:

  • Professional Teacher License #000000
  • Endorsed in Special Education Generalist (5-21)

This role requires a strong commitment to special education instructional practices. Applicants should be prepared to discuss their teaching experience in detail, including strategies for special designed instruction and supporting students working toward alternative standards. A thorough understanding of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with IEP team members.

Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction to a diverse student population, tracking student progress, and actively participating in the development and implementation of IEPs.

This position is not open to virtual or hybrid work arrangements.
