Seeking a skilled and compassionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to work with a preschool caseload in the Denver area. This full-time, contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners with diverse needs. You will serve a maximum caseload of 15 students at a single school site, engaging collaboratively with a supportive team in an onsite environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required
- Appropriate Colorado Department of Education certification for Early Childhood Special Education (see below listing for acceptable credentials)
- Experience or strong knowledge in assessing, teaching, and supporting students with disabilities ages birth through 8
- Proficiency in interpreting and applying standardized assessments and general education evaluations in literacy and math
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting and communicate clearly with staff and families
- Must be able to complete timely background check requirements
- Ready for a virtual interview process (Google Meets)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to preschool-aged students in a continuum of service models (in-class and pull-out)
- Conduct standardized assessments for eligibility and ongoing programming
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring learning goals are met
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for planning and student support, with Fridays set aside for preparation and meetings
- Engage in family outreach and support to foster communication and student growth
