Desired Qualifications:
- Current and active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required
- Previous experience in Special Education, especially in moderate to severe needs settings
- Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Team-oriented approach and adaptability in dynamic classroom situations
- Understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies for special needs populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals for students with moderate to severe learning disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
- Employ creative and engaging teaching techniques to support student participation
- Track, assess, and document students’ progress and adapt plans as needed
- Partner with families to foster student learning and development
- Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment
- Uphold legal and ethical standards required of Special Education professionals
