Desired Qualifications:

  • Current and active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required
  • Previous experience in Special Education, especially in moderate to severe needs settings
  • Ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Team-oriented approach and adaptability in dynamic classroom situations
  • Understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies for special needs populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction based on IEP goals for students with moderate to severe learning disabilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
  • Employ creative and engaging teaching techniques to support student participation
  • Track, assess, and document students’ progress and adapt plans as needed
  • Partner with families to foster student learning and development
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards required of Special Education professionals
