This contract role will immerse you in a collaborative environment, working closely with a dedicated team to provide individualized education that fosters growth and independence for all learners.

What you bring:

  • Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure
  • Experience supporting students with significant and diverse needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to inclusive and adaptive instructional practices
  • Ability to build trust, connection, and motivation with students and families

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support services to students with significant support needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and the educational team
  • Foster a safe, positive, and respectful classroom community
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators
  • Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual goals
  • Communicate proactively and compassionately with parents and guardians
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development and school initiatives

Additional details:

  • Contract position running from August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027
  • Tuesday through Friday schedule, 7:30am – 4:30pm (Mondays off)
  • 34 hours per week
  • Onsite at an elementary school supporting SSN caseload
