Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Hold an active Colorado Teacher License with a Special Education Generalist Endorsement (Ages 5-21)
  • Demonstrated experience or training in supporting students with affective and emotional needs preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to foster student growth
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual learning styles and needs
  • Must complete a district-specific contractor packet promptly as part of the credentialing process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students with affective needs, fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with related service providers and classroom teachers
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and support strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed
