Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills—to collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to accommodate a variety of learning differences
• Knowledge of current special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent classroom management and organizational abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction for students with disabilities, ensuring academic and social-emotional development
• Develop, update, and monitor IEPs in alignment with legal standards and student progress
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to cultivate supportive plans and classroom environments
• Maintain regular contact with families, providing updates on progress and partnering to support student goals
• Collect and analyze data on student achievement to inform instruction and interventions
• Participate in faculty meetings, IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed
