In this position, you’ll make a meaningful impact by conducting district-level bilingual child find evaluations and providing essential services to young learners in diverse educational settings.
As a member of a dedicated evaluation team, you’ll serve at both North Star Elementary in Thornton and Centennial Elementary in Broomfield, with the potential to support additional evaluation sites across the district. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying needs and developing strategies to set students up for long-term success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency required.
- Experience in early childhood special education or as a school psychologist.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and write clear evaluation reports.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to support evaluations across multiple school sites as needed.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform bilingual child find evaluations for preschool-aged students at assigned locations and possibly district-wide.
- Collaborate with other educators, psychologists, and service providers to deliver accurate, holistic assessments.
- Engage families in the evaluation process and communicate findings in an accessible, supportive manner.
- Complete timely, detailed documentation and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Support schools and the district in developing intervention plans based on evaluation outcomes.
