In this dynamic contract opportunity, you’ll provide critical support to students by delivering specialized instruction across middle and high school settings. Use your expertise as a Licensed Special Education Teacher to foster inclusive learning environments and help students achieve their fullest potential. In this role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and utilize evidence-based strategies to address diverse academic and behavioral needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active state licensure as a Special Education Teacher
  • Prior experience working in middle and/or high school settings
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Proven skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and adapting curriculum
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support students’ unique learning needs
  • Provide direct instruction, interventions, and accommodations in both resource and inclusive settings
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers
  • Monitor student progress and communicate updates to parents and educational teams
  • Maintain accurate records, comply with regulations, and participate in meetings as needed
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that encourages academic and social-emotional growth
