What We’re Seeking:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience with cross-categorical instruction, especially supporting students in social studies and science
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Clear communication and strong collaboration skills
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated social studies and science instruction tailored to individual student needs
  • Modify general education curriculum as necessary to ensure student access and success
  • Develop and implement IEPs, progress reports, and accommodations
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Encourage positive behaviors and academic growth through creative interventions
  • Communicate regularly with families to share progress and support home-school partnership
