Step into a rewarding contract position shaping the lives of middle school students as a LBS1 Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This role, located near Aurora, IL, centers on delivering individualized support to learners with diverse needs, in partnership with dedicated teams of educators, therapists, and families.

In this role, you’ll:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and instructional plans
• Deliver tailored instruction to meet a wide range of student learning styles and needs
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress, documenting growth and achievements
• Reinforce effective classroom and behavior-management strategies for an optimal learning environment
• Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, ensuring open and clear communication with families
• Work closely with general education teachers and related-service providers to promote student inclusion and success
• Guide and supervise paraprofessionals to support instructional delivery and student engagement

The ideal candidate will bring:

• A valid Illinois Professional Educator License
• LBS1 Endorsement, ideally for grades K–12
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Exceptional communication, organization, and classroom-management abilities
