This role, located near Aurora, IL, centers on delivering individualized support to learners with diverse needs, in partnership with dedicated teams of educators, therapists, and families.
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and instructional plans
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet a wide range of student learning styles and needs
- Regularly assess and monitor student progress, documenting growth and achievements
- Reinforce effective classroom and behavior-management strategies for an optimal learning environment
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, ensuring open and clear communication with families
- Work closely with general education teachers and related-service providers to promote student inclusion and success
- Guide and supervise paraprofessionals to support instructional delivery and student engagement
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A valid Illinois Professional Educator License
- LBS1 Endorsement, ideally for grades K–12
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Exceptional communication, organization, and classroom-management abilities
