Qualifications:

  • Current LBS1 PEL (Professional Educator License) required
  • Prior experience working with Junior High or middle school students preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with fellow teachers
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach 7th and 8th grade Science classes, supporting students with varying learning needs
  • Collaborate closely with the General Education teacher to plan lessons and implement IEP accommodations
  • Provide differentiated instruction and targeted support to ensure student engagement and success
  • Track student progress, assist with assessments, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
  • Maintain open communication with staff, students, and families
  • Uphold school policies and contribute positively to the school culture

Position Details:

  • Long-term substitute role for the Fall semester, August 17, 2026, through Thanksgiving Break at the end of November
  • Contract opportunity, ideal for educators looking for a meaningful, temporary assignment
  • Daily schedule: Staff hours are 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
