This is a full-time, contract position working with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students, all housed within a single, accessible building. This assignment extends through December 18, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact over the fall semester.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with elementary students, particularly grades 3-5
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, support staff, and administrators
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet a range of learning needs
  • Positive, solution-oriented mindset and commitment to inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction and interventions aligned with each student’s goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and support classroom inclusion
  • Conduct regular assessments and monitor progress toward academic and behavioral targets
  • Foster a supportive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
  • Provide ongoing communication with families regarding student progress
  • Comply with all reporting, documentation, and compliance requirements
