This is a full-time, contract position working with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students, all housed within a single, accessible building. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with elementary students, particularly grades 3-5
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, support staff, and administrators
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet a range of learning needs
- Positive, solution-oriented mindset and commitment to inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction and interventions aligned with each student’s goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and support classroom inclusion
- Conduct regular assessments and monitor progress toward academic and behavioral targets
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
- Provide ongoing communication with families regarding student progress
- Comply with all reporting, documentation, and compliance requirements
