You’ll be working with small groups—currently 9 students, maximum of 10—ensuring every child receives personalized attention.

Start dates are flexible, with opportunities beginning either October 12 or November 9 and continuing through the end of the school year. Enjoy robust support with dedicated classroom paraeducators and frequent collaboration with the principal and Speech-Language Pathologist, empowering you to focus on effective teaching.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Extensive experience working with students with ASD
  • Proven ability to support students using AAC devices
  • Successful track record in either K-2 or high school special education settings
  • Collaborative, positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education
  • Strong communication skills for engaging students and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and individualized support for a diverse caseload (maximum 10 students)
  • Adapt curriculum and interventions for students’ unique learning and communication needs
  • Integrate AAC technology into classroom routines for effective communication
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrative staff
  • Monitor progress and maintain thorough, accurate documentation
  • Foster a safe, nurturing environment for every student
