Located near Austin, TX, this role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule—7:45 AM to 3:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)—working with a small group of 5 students, including 2 who require enhanced functional support. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Texas Educator License with Special Education Endorsement required
- Experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) processes—actively participating in and contributing to meetings
- Strong foundation in classroom management and individualized education strategies
- Comfortable implementing life skills and functional support for EC-6 students
- Committed to following community-driven dress code standards: professional attire, no visible tattoos, natural hair colors, and minimal piercings
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans that foster student growth in foundational academics and daily living skills
- Foster a supportive and structured classroom using earned rewards and value-based positive reinforcement
- Collaborate effectively with other educators, support staff, and families
- Engage in ongoing SAMA (Satori Alternative to Managing Aggression) training to enhance classroom safety and emotional support
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate actively in ARD meetings
