Special Education Teacher | Avondale, Arizona

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (state requirements apply)
• Experience implementing IEPs and supporting students with varying exceptionalities
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and data-driven decision making
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues
• Previous experience in a resource classroom setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction for a caseload of approximately 30 students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with support staff and related service providers
• Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet students’ unique learning goals
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture where all students feel valued
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
