Special Education Teacher - Ballwin, Missouri

Two contract positions are available for skilled Special Education Teachers ready to inspire and guide students with diverse learning needs. This is a full-time opportunity with a consistent daily schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break), running from mid-August 2026 through late May 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Certified as a Special Education Teacher (valid state credential required)
• Strong understanding of IEP creation, implementation, and documentation
• Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting
• Ability to design, adapt, and execute individualized lesson plans
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with IEP teams, families, and colleagues
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork

Responsibilities:

• Provide meaningful instruction to students with special needs in a half-day AM/PM program, with caseloads up to 24 students split across two sessions
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and prescribed curriculum
• Regularly assess and document student progress, reporting on overall progress and IEP goal attainment three times per year
• Create and update IEPs, schedule, and lead meetings with multidisciplinary teams
• Actively participate in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings and district-wide professional development
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned to ensure student success
