Two contract positions are available for skilled Special Education Teachers ready to inspire and guide students with diverse learning needs. This is a full-time opportunity with a consistent daily schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break), running from mid-August 2026 through late May 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified as a Special Education Teacher (valid state credential required)
- Strong understanding of IEP creation, implementation, and documentation
- Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting
- Ability to design, adapt, and execute individualized lesson plans
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with IEP teams, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork
Responsibilities:
- Provide meaningful instruction to students with special needs in a half-day AM/PM program, with caseloads up to 24 students split across two sessions
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with IEP goals and prescribed curriculum
- Regularly assess and document student progress, reporting on overall progress and IEP goal attainment three times per year
- Create and update IEPs, schedule, and lead meetings with multidisciplinary teams
- Actively participate in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings and district-wide professional development
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned to ensure student success
