Special Education Teacher - Ballwin, MO

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification, with authorization to teach in Missouri
• Experience or strong interest in working with early elementary (K-2nd) students
• Deep understanding of IEP processes, special education law, and instructional differentiation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective, individualized lesson plans for a caseload of 5-7 students
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and support personnel to ensure best outcomes
• Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Track student progress, document interventions, and communicate regularly with families
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that nurtures academic, social, and emotional development
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as needed
