Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification and credentials for high school level

  • Strong collaboration skills for partnering with support staff and families
  • Compassionate, patient approach with proven classroom management abilities
  • Willingness to assist with toileting duties as required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to high school students with autism
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and behavior specialists
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks, including toileting when necessary
