Special Education Teacher - Baltimore, MD

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience in school settings preferred, with a strong understanding of diverse learning needs
• Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
• Comfort adapting instruction for various disabilities and learning styles
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional programs to a specified caseload of students, supporting their academic and behavioral growth
• Write, review, and monitor progress on IEPs in accordance with district and state standards
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment and encourage student independence
• Coordinate with general educators, therapists, and families to maximize student achievement
• Collect data, document progress, and modify teaching strategies as needed
• Engage actively in professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of special education practices

Scheduling Details:

• 35 hours per week
• Daily start and end times will be provided during the interview process
