Special Education Teacher | Bapchule, Arizona

Step into a vital role making a difference for young learners as a Special Education Teacher specializing in early childhood education. This full-time contract opportunity centers on working with preschool-aged students (ages 3–5), supporting their growth during a pivotal learning stage. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated Child Find team, focusing on early identification and intervention for students, ensuring they receive tailored, high-quality instruction and support.

Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload that may grow to approximately 40 students, divided between morning and afternoon sessions. You’ll have the chance to design and implement effective IEPs, directly impact students’ educational journeys, and work closely with families and related service providers. With built-in professional development and planning time on Wednesdays, you’ll have valuable opportunities to learn, collaborate, and refine your practice without classroom distractions.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience in early childhood special education preferred
• Compassionate, collaborative, and dedicated approach to meeting student needs
• Strong skills in IEP development, compliance, and implementation
• Effective communicator with families, colleagues, and related services

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction for preschool students during both AM and PM sessions
• Collaborate with the Child Find team for student identification and support
• Write and maintain compliant, individualized IEPs
• Participate in ongoing assessments, data collection, and progress monitoring
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and planning sessions
• Engage in regular professional development on Wednesdays
• Maintain proactive communication with families and service providers
