Take on a meaningful remote position for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, supporting high school students who benefit from specialized educational services. This contract opportunity focuses on serving as a Special Education Case Manager/Coordinator, fully remote, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You will work closely with dedicated teachers, service providers, and families, ensuring excellence in IEP management and student outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing a high school case management caseload of 45 students across two grades
  • Leading and coordinating IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations
  • Writing compliant Individualized Education Programs, monitoring progress, and meeting all regulatory deadlines
  • Collaborating regularly with educators, related service providers, and staff to maintain a cohesive support network
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with families and team members to update on student goals and concerns
  • Analyzing academic and behavioral data to inform decisions and support effective IEP development
  • Ensuring that accommodations and modifications are implemented and maintained

Requirements and desired qualifications:

  • Valid Vermont Special Educator license and compliance with VT DOE SPED regulations
  • Experience as a Vermont virtual SPED case manager is required
  • At least two supervisor references from previous virtual SPED roles
  • Proven expertise in IEP writing, case management, and SPED compliance
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort working collaboratively within a small, focused interdisciplinary team
