Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience supporting high school students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with delivering direct instruction, particularly in functional skills and math
- Strong organizational skills for effective case management and collaboration
- Ability to develop, implement, and track IEPs to meet student goals
- Excellent communication skills to work alongside students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction in functional skills and math classrooms as assigned
- Manage a caseload of 9th and 10th grade students, primarily offering case management services
- Develop and facilitate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, school psychologists, and support staff
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress and needs
- Offer guidance and consultation to students and families regarding available supports
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment
