Qualifications/Experience:

• Current Maine Special Education license (712) is required
• Experience with high school students preferred, particularly those with social/emotional and executive functioning needs
• Prior background implementing both push-in and pull-out services is highly desired
• Strong skills in building rapport with students and collaborating with colleagues
• Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction through both push-in and pull-out support models
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to address student-specific challenges in social skills and executive functioning
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and support staff to foster a supportive learning environment
• Implement IEP goals, monitor student progress, and adapt interventions as needed
• Engage with families and guardians to encourage strategies that support student development outside the classroom
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education documentation and reporting
