Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team near Brunswick, ME for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time position serving students in a K-5 classroom.
The ideal candidate is committed to fostering academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth while creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to Kâ5 students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Promote positive student outcomes through evidence-based instructional and behavioral practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Maine 282 Special Education Certification.
- Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) certification.
- Willingness to complete Safety-Care Training.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience developing and implementing Positive Behavioral Support Plans and behavior intervention programs.
- Knowledge of academic, social-emotional, and behavioral supports.
- Experience working within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
