Special Education Teacher - Bayonne, NJ

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally in K-3rd grade settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Adapt general education curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
• Monitor student progress, gather data, and maintain accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation and review of student goals
• Communicate regularly with families and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to maximize students’ social, emotional, and academic development
