Qualifications & Experience Needed:

• Must hold a valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with K-3rd grade students preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation

• Collaborative mindset for working with teachers, support staff, and families
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to K-3 students in accordance with IEP goals
• Assess student skills and adapt curriculum based on individual needs
• Create engaging lesson plans and classroom activities that promote inclusion and growth
• Partner with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional strategies and supports
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting approaches as needed
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and positive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families to share student successes and address any concerns
• Stay up to date with special education best practices and professional development
