Special Education Teacher in Bear, DE

Make an impact as a dedicated Special Education Teacher, supporting students across a dynamic district near Bear, DE. With a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch), you’ll be part of a collaborative team, addressing diverse educational needs throughout the district.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Delaware Special Education teaching certification (required; please attach valid certificate with your application)
• Experience or strong interest in working with students who need specialized instruction and support
• Ability to adapt strategies and interventions to meet varying student needs and learning styles
• Strong organizational and communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff
• Self-motivated and flexible approach to service across multiple school sites

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions consistent with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraeducators, and related service providers to promote inclusive learning opportunities
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data collection
• Foster safe, nurturing, and inclusive classrooms where all students can thrive
• Communicate effectively with families and advocate for students’ unique needs
