Special Education Teacher | Beaufort, South Carolina

Special education professionals are needed to support students for the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in a contract role. This opportunity offers three positions serving elementary, high, and middle school learners within a dynamic environment, working onsite with a dedicated team.

Positions Available:

• Intensive Support at an elementary school
• Supplemental (Resource) at a high school
• Supplemental (Resource) at a middle school

Contract Duration:
August 3, 2026 – May 28, 2027
37.5 hours per week, fully onsite

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working in K-12 special education settings
• Ability to adapt instruction and interventions based on IEP goals
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Collaborative spirit for supporting students and working with staff/parents
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction and interventions aligned with best practices
• Track and document student progress; maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with general educators, families, and service providers
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing student support initiatives
• Adapt materials and curriculum to accommodate diverse learner needs
