Special Education Teacher in Beaufort, SC

This contract position offers the chance to inspire growth and foster success in a supportive educational environment.

There are three onsite positions available, tailored to a range of special education needs:

• Intensive Support at an elementary setting
• Supplemental (Resource) roles at the high school and middle school levels

Key Dates:

• Contract runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week, following the academic schedule

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience in K-12 environments, especially with students requiring intensive support or supplemental services
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt strategies to individual student needs
• Dedication to promoting inclusion, growth, and advocacy for students with disabilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and interventions based on student IEPs
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation aligned with federal and state guidelines
• Support students’ social-emotional and behavioral growth within school settings
• Engage in professional development and participate in team meetings
