Two contract positions are open for Special Education Teachers eager to make a difference across district preschools and charter schools, focusing on serving early childhood and younger primary students.

The first role is a full-time position, involving travel between various preschools within the district. As an integral part of multiple preschool teams, you’ll bring specialized instruction to young children and collaborate closely with staff and families to support diverse learning needs.

The second position offers flexibility, with hours expected to be either full-time or part-time (final details to be confirmed). This role requires traveling between charter schools throughout the district and primarily working with younger students, delivering targeted interventions and support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid special education teaching certification
  • Experience working with preschool or early elementary-aged students highly preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel between multiple school sites during the week
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Dedication to inclusive education and differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to children with special needs in a variety of early learning settings
  • Design and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Work collaboratively with general education staff, service providers, administrators, and families
  • Adjust teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Create a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment
