Requirements:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification for NH (or eligibility)
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with intensive needs or life skills programs
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and case management
  • Comfort serving a small caseload (currently just 3 students) in grades 5/6
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to collaborative teamwork
  • Full-time availability, 35–37.5 hours per week through June 2027
  • Flexibility and adaptability in new settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, specialized instruction and support for 5th/6th-grade students with intensive needs
  • Serve as case manager: coordinate IEP meetings, maintain compliance, track progress
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, families, and related service providers
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual learning styles and goals
