Beginning August 24, 2026, and running through June 7, 2027, you'll engage with a dedicated team in a single building setting. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) covers two specialized classrooms: one serving 9-12 students with multiple disabilities, including autism, non-verbal communication needs, and physical impairments, and another serving 10-15 students with emotional disabilities needing behavioral intervention plans, social-emotional learning, and occasional crisis intervention.
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure for Special Education in Ohio is required
- Demonstrated experience working with K-8 populations preferred
- Expertise in crisis intervention and the implementation of BIPs, particularly for students with emotional disabilities
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to creating inclusive educational settings
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal — for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ IEP goals in both MD and ED settings
- Employ evidence-based practices for classroom and behavior management
- Create and maintain an organized, supportive, and adaptable learning environment
- Work closely with support staff to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as needed
- Cultivate strong partnerships with families and external service providers
