Special Education Teacher in Bellevue, MI

Seeking a dedicated professional to serve as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Key Qualifications:

• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an active Michigan Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with high school students and familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) educational strategies is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage diverse learning needs, modify curricula, and maintain an inclusive classroom environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction for high school students in an ASD classroom setting.
• Adapt lessons and classroom materials to accommodate individual student learning styles and IEP goals.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans, monitoring progress and adjusting approaches as needed.
• Collaborate closely with support staff, general education teachers, and therapists to promote an integrated support network.
• Maintain thorough, organized records and uphold all relevant state and district compliance standards.
• Foster a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment.

Assignment Details:

• Located onsite near Bellevue, MI (not remote).
• Contract duration: August 24, 2026 – June 10, 2027.
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, during regular school hours.
