What You Bring:

• Valid and active Michigan Special Education Teacher license (provide a screenshot upon application)
• Expertise in supporting students with cognitive impairments at the high school level
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities

• Experience working collaboratively with classroom staff and support teams

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to cognitive impairment needs
• Deliver daily instruction, adapting curriculum to various learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate holistic student development
• Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain open channels of communication with stakeholders
• Provide positive behavior supports, using evidence-based strategies
• Cultivate a classroom culture that promotes academic growth, independence, and self-esteem
