Special Education Teacher - Bellevue, NE

Two openings are available—one each for elementary and middle school levels—beginning in mid-August and running through the end of May.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification for the state
• Experience working in elementary or middle school settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP process and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, service providers, and families
• Effective communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to inclusive education and student empowerment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide instruction in resource classroom settings, supporting both academic and behavioral growth
• Adapt curriculum and modify lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Collect data to assess progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service staff
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages student engagement
