What we’re looking for:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification or ability to obtain one
• Experience (or strong knowledge) working with K-6th grade students in a special education setting
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
• Skill in managing classrooms and differentiating instruction to accommodate a range of abilities
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and related service providers
• Organizational strengths for maintaining thorough student records and documentation

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct services and specialized instruction to elementary students with various learning needs
• Developing, documenting, and updating IEPs in partnership with families and school staff
• Leading and participating in IEP meetings
• Collaborating with general education teachers and related professionals to create inclusive learning experiences
• Using effective classroom management strategies to create a positive and productive environment
• Monitoring, documenting, and communicating student progress toward IEP goals
