Make a difference in the lives of 4th-grade students by providing dynamic special education services within a supportive instructional environment. This contracted role centers on cross-categorical instructional programming, helping students with diverse academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional needs achieve success. Instruction is thoughtfully tailored to align with grade-level standards and each student’s individualized IEP goals.
You’ll collaborate closely with related service providers, program aides, and 1:1 support staff to design and implement effective classroom strategies. The program utilizes structured teaching methods, visual supports, behavioral and social-emotional interventions, communication and sensory supports, ensuring every child’s unique needs are addressed throughout the day.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
- Familiarity with cross-categorical programming and IEP development/implementation
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet each student’s abilities and goals
- Collaborative approach when working with teams and support staff
