Make a difference in the lives of 4th-grade students by providing dynamic special education services within a supportive instructional environment. This contracted role centers on cross-categorical instructional programming, helping students with diverse academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional needs achieve success. Instruction is thoughtfully tailored to align with grade-level standards and each student’s individualized IEP goals.

You’ll collaborate closely with related service providers, program aides, and 1:1 support staff to design and implement effective classroom strategies. The program utilizes structured teaching methods, visual supports, behavioral and social-emotional interventions, communication and sensory supports, ensuring every child’s unique needs are addressed throughout the day.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education required
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with cross-categorical programming and IEP development/implementation
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet each student’s abilities and goals
  • Collaborative approach when working with teams and support staff

  • Plan and deliver differentiated instruction for students with varying needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs; monitor and document progress regularly
  • Apply behavioral, communication, and sensory strategies as needed
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Partner with aides, related services, and support staff for comprehensive student support
  • Communicate consistently with families regarding student progress
