Make an impact as a Special Education Coordinator/Instructional Coach, where your expertise will champion meaningful growth for students with disabilities. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to lead, mentor, and collaborate with dedicated professionals, supporting high-quality educational programming and ensuring exceptional outcomes for all learners.

In this pivotal role, you’ll serve as an instructional leader and compliance facilitator for special education services, working alongside administrators, instructional coaches, and district leadership to foster inclusive, effective practices across assigned schools. Your talent for coaching and your strong knowledge of special education regulations will be essential as you guide both teachers and staff in delivering best-in-class instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Coach and mentor special education teachers, offering strategies to improve instructional delivery and student outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state special education requirements
  • Collaborate with the Director of Special Education and Student Services to strengthen and expand the continuum of services offered within the district
  • Work closely with building leaders and general education coaches to promote inclusive practices
  • Model exceptional teaching methods and provide targeted professional development

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsements
  • Certified in Illinois as a Special Education Teacher
  • At least three years of relevant special education experience
  • Demonstrated ability to support and develop effective instructional practices for students with disabilities

This role offers an attractive hourly rate of $45, weekly pay, and full healthcare benefits. The assignment runs ASAP through May 27, 2027, providing an extended opportunity to make a lasting difference.
