Special Education Teacher - Bellwood, IL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (or eligibility)
• Experience or interest in working with K-8 populations
• Strong communication skills and adaptability
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborative approach with general educators, related service providers, and families
• Candidates must indicate both the grades they are qualified to teach and their preferred grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt curriculum and modify teaching techniques to accommodate individual learning differences
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Employ evidence-based instructional strategies in resource and self-contained settings
