This opportunity at Marshall Elementary focuses on 4th-grade cross-categorical instructional programming. You’ll collaborate with dedicated staff and related service providers, utilizing a toolkit of structured teaching supports, behavioral and social-emotional interventions, visual aides, and sensory strategies. Every day is meaningful as you help students achieve growth across academic, communication, adaptive, and functional domains. Classrooms feature strong support, including a program aide and additional 1:1 staff as outlined by IEPs, so you’ll always have resources to make a difference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (or equivalent)
- Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility in IL)
- Experience working with cross-categorical special education programs preferred
- Strong collaborative skills and adaptability
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
Responsibilities:
- Deliver grade-level standards-based instruction while targeting IEP goals
- Create and maintain a supportive, structured environment for a range of student needs
- Integrate visual, behavioral, communication, and sensory supports into daily routines
- Collaborate with aides, related services, and families to promote student success
