Special Education Teacher | Beloit, Wisconsin

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their growth as a Special Education Teacher for an intermediate school program focused on Intellectual Disabilities (ID). This contract opportunity, situated near vibrant Beloit, WI, runs from September 1 to June 4 and features a manageable caseload working with 4th to 6th grade students.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification in Wisconsin (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with Intellectual Disabilities, preferably at the intermediate grade level
• Familiarity with differentiated instruction and evidence-based interventions for special needs learners
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptable mindset and commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute effective SPED - ID programming tailored to a small group of students in grades 4-6
• Manage a reduced caseload, allowing you to dedicate individualized attention and create impactful learning experiences
• Assess student abilities and design appropriate goals, accommodations, and modifications
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and service delivery
• Foster collaborative relationships with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to address academic, social, and emotional needs
