Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience or coursework in Intellectual Disabilities (ID) programming highly preferred
  • Previous experience working with grades 4-6 is a plus
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the ID program
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Maintain ongoing communication with families and interdisciplinary team members
  • Monitor student progress, maintain records, and adjust instruction as needed
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence
  • Provide support to general education teachers and staff in implementing accommodations and modifications
