Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Teaching Certification required
  • Must possess a Special Education EC-12 certification
  • Additionally, candidates must hold at least one of the following: EC-6 Core Subjects, 4-8 Generalist, or 9-12 certification in a specific subject area
  • Experience working with diverse student needs is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Role Overview:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students receiving special education services
  • Collaborate with regular education teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families to support student progress
  • Adapt curriculum and develop accommodations or modifications as required
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all documentation per state and district guidelines
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of personalized plans
