What you’ll bring:
- Active Texas Teaching Certification required
- Must hold a valid Special Education EC-12 certificate
- At least one additional certification: either EC-6 Core Subjects, 4-8 Generalist, or a 9-12 content area
- Experience in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classrooms is highly valued
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
Your core responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction, accommodations, and modifications according to IEPs
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans, addressing students’ academic and behavioral needs
- Collect data, track progress, and participate in ARD/IEP meetings
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all students
- Maintain regular communication with staff, families, and service providers
- Support students across a range of disability categories and grade levels
The position spans the entire school year, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. Teachers will be placed in environments that best match their credentials and experience, ensuring opportunities for both professional growth and student impact.
