Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Oregon licensure as a Special Education Teacher
  • Prior experience working with K-12 students in either resource or self-contained settings
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and families
  • Deep commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
  • Proven work ethic, a growth-oriented mindset, and a genuinely positive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction and adapt curriculum materials for students with diverse learning needs
  • Conduct assessments and progress monitoring in line with students’ IEPs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth within a safe, nurturing space
