Special Education Teacher in Bennettsville, SC

Key Qualifications:

• Valid, active South Carolina Teaching License
• Special Education certification
• For Early Childhood PCD role: Both Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification required
• For K-3 ID Mild/Mod Self-Contained: SPED Multi-Categorical endorsement required
• Experience with individualized education program (IEP) planning and implementation
• Strong communication skills and commitment to fostering student growth

Role Overview:

• Serve as either the EC PCD Teacher (ages 3–4) or ID Mild/Mod Self-contained Teacher (grades K-3) in an inclusive, nurturing school environment
• Develop lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to create supportive learning experiences
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for compliance and student progress monitoring
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Foster a welcoming classroom community that encourages student engagement and confidence

This is a 37.5 hour per week, onsite contract role extending through late May 2027.
