Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Active South Carolina Teaching License (required)
  • BOTH Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification (required)
  • Multi-Categorical endorsement (required for some roles)
  • Experience supporting K–8th Grade students preferred
  • Strong commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices

Responsibilities

  • Teach either a Multi-Categorical self-contained class for K-2 (Bennettsville Primary)
  • Serve as an Early Childhood Resource, EC Resource (K-8, Wallace Elementary/Middle), or ED Resource Teacher (K-5, Clio Elementary), all in-person
  • Plan and deliver differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Foster a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
