Make a meaningful difference by supporting students with diverse needs in a specialized environment. This contract opportunity offers three full-time positions for experienced Special Education Teachers across elementary, middle, and high school settings, all focused on self-contained classrooms.

Elementary: Guide an autism-focused, self-contained class serving kindergarten through 5th grade with a small caseload of up to six students. Your expertise will help foster social, academic, and emotional growth in young learners.

Middle School: Work in a therapeutic classroom for grades 6–8, providing support to up to ten students, many of whom have experienced trauma. Your background in trauma-informed care will be instrumental in helping students overcome challenges and thrive in a structured, nurturing setting.

High School: Support students in grades 9–12 within a therapeutic self-contained classroom, managing a caseload of up to twelve. Be a stabilizing presence for students who benefit from trauma-informed teaching approaches, preparing them for post-secondary pathways.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed or certified Special Education Teacher
  • Previous experience in self-contained and/or autism classrooms strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students who have experienced trauma, especially for middle and high school roles
  • Understanding of IEP development and implementation for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized instructional programming
  • Provide structure, consistency, and emotional support in self-contained classrooms
  • Collect and track behavior and academic progress data
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to create a supportive educational atmosphere
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff about student growth and needs
