2nd Grade 1st Grade Special Education Teacher | Bensalem, Pennsylvania

This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for a compassionate educator ready to inspire growth and confidence in children needing dedicated, individualized attention. The position is offered with a schedule of 37.5–40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with the assignment starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 11, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and interventions to students in a K–2 Autistic Support classroom
• Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Monitor student progress, address behavioral needs, and provide a structured, nurturing environment
• Collaborate effectively with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure holistic programming
• Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and continuous program improvement

Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania Special Education certification preferred
• Open to candidates holding current out-of-state licensure or those eligible for emergency certification
• Experience working in special education with early elementary students (Kindergarten–2nd Grade) is highly valued
• Background in developing instructional materials for students on the autism spectrum is a plus
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials: Emergency certified teachers can expect between $35 and $42 per hour, while fully certified teachers will receive between $42 and $52 per hour.
